Hujambo!

Hujambo (Hello)! This is so far the only word that I know in Swahili, but I am hoping I will learn more before I take off in a little over than a month! Last week at Mission Training in Kansas City,  I meet some of the most interesting, loving, spirit-filled, and truly amazing people I have ever meet in my entire life, I feel so incredibly blessed and changed to have spent a 4 days with them! But like I was saying last week in Kansas City I found out about my placement for the Individual Volunteer Mission through the General Board of Global Ministries, I am now the newest member of the Angel House Orphanage family! Angel House is truly an amazing place, not only is it home to 62 children, but they built a secondary school which now has 315 children attending it! They are on their way to becoming completely self-sufficient! Recently completing a HUGE water project for the orphanage, they also have livestock, and a garden. I feel extremely excited, happy, and like I'm going exactly where I am supposed to be, but mostly blessed to be able to be part of this Ministry and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me on this journey!
